inZOI, the new life simulation game from Krafton, has taken the gaming world by storm, selling an impressive 1 million copies within just one week of its Early Access launch on Steam. This marks the fastest sales milestone ever achieved by a game published by the South Korean giant, Krafton.

Launched on March 28, inZOI quickly grabbed headlines, not just for its sales figures but also due to a controversial feature where players could run over and kill children, which Krafton swiftly patched out, labeling it an "unintended bug." Despite this initial hiccup, the game has received a 'very positive' user review rating on Steam and saw a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, placing it third in the Games category. Remarkably, inZOI soared to the top of Steam's Global Top Sellers List, reaching the number one spot just 40 minutes after its release.

The game's in-game user-generated content (UGC) sharing platform, Canvas, also saw massive engagement, with over 1.2 million participants on launch day and more than 470,000 pieces of content uploaded.

IGN's review of inZOI's Early Access version gave it a 6/10, noting that while the game is visually striking and ambitious, it lacks sufficient depth at this stage.

Krafton credits its pre-launch promotional efforts and active community engagement for building trust and momentum leading up to the release. The inZOI global showcase and demo build were particularly effective in generating high interest, according to Krafton.

CEO CH Kim expressed gratitude and excitement about presenting inZOI to a global audience through Early Access, emphasizing the company's commitment to ongoing communication with players and nurturing inZOI as a long-term franchise IP.

In response to player feedback and reported issues, Krafton has committed to applying quick fixes through hotfixes throughout April. The company acknowledges the scale of inZOI's global community as a "next-level experience" and admits to navigating some "trial and error" in optimizing communication with its players.
