Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom's Fastest Selling Game, Moving 8 Million Copies in 3 Days

Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved a remarkable feat by selling over 8 million units within just three days of its release, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game to date. This impressive accomplishment comes despite the presence of some bugs in the game. Dive in to explore Capcom's milestone and the latest updates on Monster Hunter Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom's Fastest Selling Game, Moving 8 Million Copies in 3 Days

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has swiftly become Capcom's fastest-selling game, amassing over 8 million units sold in just three days. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their website, marking MH Wilds as the quickest title to reach such heights in the company's history.

According to SteamDB, MH Wilds has enjoyed significant success since its launch, achieving over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their relentless promotional efforts, participation in global video game events, and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

MH Wilds has now addressed bugs that were hindering players' progress. Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced on Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025, that hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available on all platforms.

This update tackles several issues, including the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking despite meeting the criteria, inaccessibility of the Monster Field Guide, and a critical game-breaking bug that halted story progression in Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.

However, not all bugs have been resolved. Issues such as network errors when players fire an SOS flare after a quest begins, and Palico's blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages, remain. These multiplayer-related bugs are expected to be addressed in a future patch.
