Halo Infinite, while perhaps not dominating the headlines as much as some other titles, continues to receive dedicated content updates. A recent addition is S&D Extraction, a new competitive game mode designed to deliver a strategic and refreshing experience.
Inspired by Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction puts a unique spin on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off: attackers attempt to plant a device at a designated location, while defenders try to stop them. Teams swap roles after each round, with the first team to win six rounds claiming victory.
The mode incorporates a robust economic system, allowing players to purchase equipment at the start of each round using in-game currency earned through completing objectives. The cost of equipment fluctuates based on player performance, and all gear is reset at the end of each round.
Pricing reflects the item's power and effectiveness; expect cheaper options early in the match, escalating costs mid-game, and potentially even more expensive gear later if players strategically save their earnings. Respawning after elimination will also be a purchasable option.
Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite players, offering a compelling blend of familiar mechanics and innovative twists.
