Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year

In today's crowded gaming market, finding a truly unique game is a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure boasts a story that's as captivating as its gameplay.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't originally a game designer. In 2020, he was a writer and filmmaker. A college friend suggested a collaborative game project, but the team disbanded, leaving the idea unrealized.

Alameen, however, couldn't let go of the story. He embarked on a solo journey, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to bring his vision to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

The game itself plunges players into a captivating mystery rooted in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Secrets, puzzles, and surprises abound.

Players take on the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

My Father Lied blends ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling. The puzzles are user-friendly point-and-click, avoiding complex controls, and the visuals are stunning 2D artwork with 360-degree imagery.
