  • Compatible with a wide range of devices, including iOS, Android, and PCs.
  • Offers multiple transfer methods for your convenience.
  • Free to download and user-friendly.

Troubleshooting Google Play Store Downloads:

If you encounter download issues from the Google Play Store, try these steps:

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Clear cache and data.
  3. Attempt the download again.

Supported Devices and Transfer Capabilities:

Smart Switch empowers you to move contacts, music, photos, calendar entries, text messages, device settings, and more. It even helps you find your favorite apps or suggests similar ones on Google Play™.

Transfer Compatibility:

  • Android™:
    • Wireless: Android 4.0 or higher. Wireless transfers between compatible Android and Galaxy devices require Android 4.0 or higher (Note: Non-Samsung devices with Android versions below 6.0 can only connect with Galaxy devices supporting mobile AP.)
    • Wired: Android 4.3 or higher, charger cable, and USB connector.
  • iOS™: Choose your preferred method:
    • Wired: iOS 5.0 or higher, iOS device cable (Lightning or 30-pin), and USB connector.
    • iCloud™ Import: iOS 4.2.1 or higher and Apple ID.
    • PC/Mac Transfer via iTunes™: Requires Smart Switch PC/Mac software (available at http://www.samsung.com/smartswitch).
  • Windows™ Mobile: Wireless transfers are supported for Windows OS 10.

Transferable Data:

Smart Switch transfers contacts, calendar data (device content only), messages, photos, music (DRM-free content only, iCloud not supported), videos (DRM-free content only), call logs, memos, alarms, Wi-Fi settings, wallpapers, documents, app data (Galaxy devices only), and home layouts (Galaxy devices only). App data and home layouts require a Galaxy device with M OS (Galaxy S6 or higher).

Supported Devices:

  • Galaxy: Recent Galaxy mobile devices and tablets (from Galaxy S2). Note: Older OS versions (GB/ICS) on Galaxy S2 might cause incompatibility; a firmware update may be necessary.
  • Other Android Devices: HTC, LG, Sony, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, PANTECH, Panasonic, Kyocera, NEC, SHARP, Fujitsu, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, Coolpad (DazenF2), RIM (Priv), YotaPhone, ZTE (Nubia Z9), Gionee, LAVA, MyPhone (My28s), Cherry Mobile, and Google (Pixel/Pixel 2).

Note: Compatibility issues may prevent Smart Switch installation or use on certain devices.

Important Considerations:

  1. Both devices need at least 500 MB of free internal storage for data transfer.
  2. Wired connections require devices supporting "Transferring media files (MTP)" USB option.
  3. For non-Samsung devices experiencing wireless disconnections, disable "Wi-Fi initialize" and "Disconnect low Wi-Fi signal" in Advanced Wi-Fi settings (availability depends on manufacturer and OS version).

App Permissions:

Smart Switch requires the following permissions: Phone, Call logs, Contacts, Calendar, SMS, Storage, Microphone, Bluetooth, and Location. For Android versions below 6.0, update your software to manage app permissions. You can reset previously granted permissions in your device's App settings menu after a software update.
