Warframe: 1999, with its unique Y2K-inspired action, is gearing up for an exciting new update this March. Dubbed Techrot Encore, this update introduces the 60th Warframe, Temple, along with four new Protoframes and a host of other thrilling additions. As revealed in one of Digital Extremes' official devstreams, players can look forward to encountering both new and familiar faces in this update.
One of the standout features of Techrot Encore is the introduction of the Technocyte Coda to the Lich adversary system. This group, previously known as the boy band On-Lyne, played a significant role in the ARG leading up to Warframe: 1999's release. Now, these once non-threatening stars have transformed into formidable cybernetic foes, ready to challenge players in new and exciting ways.
To help combat these new threats, players will have access to four new Scaldra weapons, offering a variety of options for tackling any firefight, whether by blasting or slashing. Additionally, the update brings enhancements to the Romance & Relationships system, a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin, and the introduction of the aforementioned Protoframes and the 60th Warframe.
The turn-of-the-century aesthetic of Warframe: 1999 continues to captivate players, and the transformation of a boy band into cybernetic monstrosities adds a unique twist to the game's enemy roster. The charm of this weird and wonderful setting is undeniable.
Leading up to the March release of Techrot Encore, players can dive into more content starting February 6th with the return of the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast, new skins, and Nightwave Vol. 8, offering even more rewards to enhance your gameplay experience.
