The Guardians of the Road project has been revitalized with a new, user-friendly application offering a significantly improved experience. Join the Road Guard project and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road – the road of all of us" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. As of January 1, 2023, the project is managed by the Safe Path association.
Citizens aged 18 and older can download the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations. Operation is simple and quick: activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, initiate the reporting feature. Reporting can be triggered via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically begin recording video and audio evidence of the infraction.
This documented evidence is transmitted to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer traffic controllers. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the documented driver, including a link to the recorded video. In cases involving life-threatening violations, the report is immediately forwarded to the police for further action.
