In Freedom Wars Remastered, every action you take is geared towards reducing your staggering one million-year sentence, a penalty you received simply for being born. As you work tirelessly to shorten your prison term, you're also focused on elevating your CODE level, which significantly enhances your life as a sinner.
Your CODE level unlocks a variety of Entitlements, making the game more manageable. These can range from allowing you to run longer distances to upgrading your comrades and gear, which in turn makes battles against Abductors much more manageable. As you progress, you'll navigate through multiple CODE levels; let's dive into the specifics.
How Many CODE Levels Are In Freedom Wars Remastered
In Freedom Wars Remastered, there are a total of eight CODE levels for players to advance through. Once you elevate your CODE level, there's no going back, so you don't have to worry about inadvertently increasing your prison sentence beyond what's necessary for your current CODE, especially when playing on Deadly Sinner Mode. Each time you rank up your CODE level, you gain access to more Entitlements to purchase, as well as additional operations to tackle.
How To Increase Your CODE Level In Freedom Wars Remastered
To check the conditions for upgrading your CODE level, simply talk to your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions". Typically, you'll need to reach specific milestones in your prison sentence and unlock certain Entitlements. It's wise to review this menu regularly from your cell to avoid spending all your Entitlement Points on less crucial upgrades, as you might need to donate resources to acquire more points later.
Donating just one high-end resource or weapon can often provide enough points for numerous Entitlements.
To rank up your CODE, you must fulfill all the listed conditions. However, your current CODE level is also intricately linked to the main storyline. Completing main story missions and operations is essential, as they often serve as part of the CODE exam required to advance to the next level. At times, the main story itself can act as a substitute for the CODE exam.
Operations are categorized by CODE levels, which generally indicate their difficulty. You'll complete most operations as you progress through the story of each CODE, though occasionally, a few optional operations will become available after you advance. These can be particularly helpful for players who might not feel fully prepared for the challenges of their new CODE level.
