NieR: Automata - Where To Get Warped Wire

NieR: Automata features a wide array of enemies, each potentially dropping various upgrade materials for your pod and weapons. While many materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints the best location to efficiently farm Warped Wire.

Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but a specific area offers consistent spawns. Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point and proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe through some ruins. This section boasts multiple stacked machine enemies, making it ideal for farming.

Two small clearings near ruined buildings are prime locations. The machines near these structures are consistently the stacked variety. Warped Wire has a reasonable drop rate; you'll typically obtain one or two per clearing. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates this process.

Respawning Enemies for Faster Farming:

To expedite farming, utilize these enemy respawn methods:

  • Fast Travel: Fast travel to a different location and then return to Desert Camp to instantly respawn all enemies.
  • Manual Respawn: Running a significant distance away and returning will also respawn them, although fast traveling is considerably faster.

Chip Recommendations:

Investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended, as many machine-dropped materials are needed for weapon upgrades. Similarly, movement speed increase chips, while offering only a slight time saving here, prove invaluable for completing race side quests.
