This is a versatile portable media player that also functions as a UPnP DLNA Digital Media Renderer (DMR). It offers robust support for SSA/ASS/SUP subtitles, enhancing your viewing experience with customizable options.
The player excels in handling UPnP DLNA, allowing seamless playback as a DMR. Users can easily access their media files through the Storage Access Framework (SAF), which they can manage themselves.
For subtitle enthusiasts, the player supports full-featured SSA/ASS subtitles. Users have the flexibility to add or manage font files according to their preferences. These subtitles can be dimmed to accommodate the higher contrast and brightness of HDR and Dolby Vision (DV) playback. Moreover, the font size can be adjusted to ensure readability.
In addition to SSA/ASS, the player also supports subtitles in SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) formats starting from version 5.1. Subtitles can be either embedded in MKV files or side-loaded. Users can select and apply a single subtitle file or use a package in Zip/7Z/RAR format during playback, offering great flexibility.
The media player is designed to handle HDR/DV content, supports digital audio passthrough, and includes features such as MKV chapters navigation, frame by frame stepping, audio track selection and delay, as well as subtitles selection and time offset. It also displays frame rates and adjusts refresh rates automatically.
Successful Dolby Vision playback has been achieved on the NVIDIA Shield TV 2019. Users can rotate videos on demand and zoom in on full-screen playback using pinch gestures.
Originally developed for segmented files playback, the player supports files presented in the m3u8 (HLS media list) format. Although initially designed for TS files, it now accommodates mp4 and flv files as well.

This update includes fixes for subtitles auto-selection, the first chapter 0:00 issue, and new system adaptation. Users can now set the default language for subtitles in the selection box. They can also pick a subtitle file directly from the Storage Access Framework content page, which supports local storage, Samba/Windows sharing, or WebDAV clients, depending on the SAF content provider apps in use. Efforts have been made to resolve a DMR service crash bug.
