Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, the Turbulent Timeways event offers players engaging activities while awaiting Patch 11.1. This recurring event, previously featured during Dragonflight, presents a unique reward system tied to accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff.

Turbulent Timeways Event Details

Unlike the typical staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:

  • Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
  • Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
  • Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
  • Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
  • Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
  • Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
  • Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon awards a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (persistent through death) provides a five percent experience bonus for monster kills and quest completions. Four stacks upgrade to the "Mastery of Timeways" buff, offering a 30% experience bonus (also persistent) for three hours. Both buffs refresh with each completed Timewalking dungeon. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without expiration is crucial to obtaining Mastery of Timeways. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent buff decay.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers several rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is available from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.

Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, can be earned by achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
