Stalker 2: For Science! Side Quest Walkthrough

In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can embark on a side quest called "For Science!" by interacting with specific NPCs in The Zone. This quest involves activating a second measuring device atop a silo, ultimately granting access to the STC Malachite facility.

Initiating "For Science!":

The quest begins at the Central Elevator in the Chemical Plant. Players will hear Yaryk Mongoose radio Skif, prompting a meeting. Locate Mongoose on the first floor (easily accessible by vaulting a railing). He'll explain the need to activate a second device atop a nearby silo, initiating the quest upon acceptance.

Reaching the Silo:

Ascend the building's stairs, eliminating any rodents encountered. Exit through a broken window and descend a ladder to reach the silos. Electro anomalies are present; equip appropriate gear. Proceed along the silo's top to activate the measuring device. Activating it will attract Bloodsuckers. Players can choose to fight or evade them.

Confronting Mongoose:

Return to Mongoose; he'll explain the unforeseen consequences of the experiment. Players can choose to kill Mongoose or accept the reward (a Malachite pass and coupons) peacefully. Neither choice significantly impacts the game's progression.

Accessing STC Malachite:

The Malachite pass unlocks access to the STC Malachite base, unless already obtained through the main storyline.

This concise guide outlines the steps to complete the "For Science!" side quest in Stalker 2, offering a streamlined approach to navigating this relatively short but rewarding mission.
