Sims Community Unveils EA

A new Sims game is in the works, and it's available now in Australia! While not the highly anticipated Sims 5, The Sims Labs: Town Stories offers a taste of what's to come. This mobile simulation game serves as a testing ground for new gameplay mechanics and features within the Sims franchise, part of EA's larger Sims Labs initiative launched last August.

Currently in its playtest phase, Town Stories blends classic Sims-style town building with character-driven narratives. Players construct their ideal neighborhood, guide residents through personal journeys, advance their Sims’ careers, and uncover Plumbrook's secrets.

Though initially listed on the Google Play Store, the game isn't yet globally available for download. Australian players can access it via signup on EA's website. Early reactions have been mixed, with some critics expressing concerns about the graphics and potential for microtransactions.

The gameplay, based on available footage, appears familiar to long-time Sims players. Given its experimental nature, significant evolution is expected as development proceeds. Interested players in Australia can download and play The Sims Labs: Town Stories via the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for further updates, including our upcoming coverage of Shop Titans’ Halloween event!
