GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror titles, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, bringing them to PC gamers. Both PlayStation originals are now available DRM-free on GOG's platform, preserving their original content as part of the GOG Preservation Program.
Released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these Capcom titles haven't seen a new entry since Dino Crisis 3 in 2003. Despite fan clamor for a remake or sequel, and despite the release of Capcom's dinosaur-themed Exoprimal, a new Dino Crisis game remains elusive, with creator Shinji Mikami citing Monster Hunter's popularity as a contributing factor.
GOG's release is a boon for fans, as these PC ports were previously difficult to acquire and run on modern systems. GOG highlights the enhanced experience, stating that Regina's famous line, "You're extinct!", no longer applies to the games themselves.
