Fortnite Reverses Skin Controversy

The iconic Master Chief, star of the Halo franchise and a beloved Fortnite skin, recently returned to the item shop after a two-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans. However, this joyous reunion was briefly marred by a controversial decision.

Initially, a special Matte Black style for the skin, originally offered to Xbox Series S|X players, was slated for removal. This announcement, contradicting earlier promises of ongoing availability, sparked considerable backlash.

Concerns arose among players about potential legal ramifications, with some even considering a class-action lawsuit. Fortunately, Epic Games swiftly reversed course within 24 hours. The Matte Black style will now remain accessible to all Master Chief skin owners who complete a single game on an Xbox Series S|X console.

This reversal is widely seen as the most sensible outcome, particularly given the festive holiday season. Spoiling the celebratory mood with such a contentious move would have been ill-advised.
