Bullseye's Mechanics
Bullseye is a 3-cost, 3-power card with the ability: "Activate: Discard all 1-cost or less cards from your hand. Afflict that many different enemy cards with -2 Power."
This makes him a potent addition to discard-centric decks. His activation is crucial before turn 6. Synergies exist with cards like X-23, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, and Swarm (when discounted to 0 cost). The key is his "different enemy cards" limitation; he can't repeatedly debuff the same card.
Top Bullseye Decks
Bullseye's optimal placement is within existing discard archetypes, rather than forming the core of a new strategy. Here are two examples:
Discard Deck (Classic Style):
- Scorn
- X-23
- Blade
- Morbius
- Hawkeye Kate Bishop
- Swarm
- Colleen Wing
- Bullseye
- Dracula
- Proxima Midnight
- MODOK
- Apocalypse
This deck utilizes Bullseye to amplify the debuff effects of other cards. Series 5 cards (Scorn, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Proxima Midnight) are essential, though Hawkeye Kate Bishop could be substituted. The strategy involves deploying MODOK on turn 5, activating Bullseye, and unleashing a wave of debuffs, followed by regenerated Swarms and Dracula to secure Apocalypse.
Hazmat Ajax Deck (Alternative):
- Silver Sable
- Nebula
- Hydra Bob
- Hazmat
- Hawkeye Kate Bishop
- U.S. Agent
- Luke Cage
- Bullseye
- Rocket Raccoon & Groot
- Anti-Venom
- Man-Thing
- Ajax
This high-cost deck integrates Bullseye into the Hazmat Ajax strategy. Bullseye synergizes with several cards, providing a secondary Hazmat effect and boosting Ajax's power. Series 5 cards (Silver Sable, Hydra Bob, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, U.S. Agent, Rocket Raccoon & Groot, Anti-Venom, Ajax) are integral to this deck's effectiveness. Hydra Bob is the most easily replaceable card.
Is Bullseye Worth the Investment?
Bullseye's value is highly dependent on your existing card pool and playstyle. If you're not a fan of discard or affliction decks, he might not be worth investing Spotlight Cache Keys or Collector's Tokens. His effectiveness is also limited by his reliance on specific cards and his inability to be played on the final turn. Consider prioritizing cards like Moonstone or Aries if you're building a Surtur-centric deck.
