Hez2: A Thrilling Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a captivating card game immensely popular in Morocco. This classic family game, a true Moroccan tradition, offers engaging gameplay for up to four players. It's a turn-based game where players must match either the suit or rank of the previously played card. If a player lacks a matching card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player can strategically choose to draw instead. The goal? Empty your hand of all cards!
Special Cards:
-
2: Playing a two forces the next player to draw two cards. If they also hold a two, they can choose to draw two or play it, escalating the draw to four cards for the following player, and so on, until a player without a two draws the accumulated total.
-
7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next player's card.
-
10: Playing a ten requires the player to immediately play another card. If the ten is their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.
-
12: (Three or four player games only) Playing a twelve skips the next player's turn.
The game concludes when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if it's a two or ten), and that player is declared the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
Hez2 is a fun game for everyone! Enjoy!
