How To Obtain All Dark Instruments in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Author : Joshua Apr 02,2025

In *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*, Goro Majima is equipped with two distinct fighting styles, one of which is the "Sea Dog" pirate style, featuring four unique and powerful finishers perfect for handling large crowds. However, acquiring all the Dark Instruments in the game is a challenging journey that adds depth to the gameplay experience.

How to Obtain the Dark God’s Violin in Pirate Yakuza

The Dark Instrument Violin in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in HawaiiThe Dark God’s Violin is the first Dark Instrument you can unlock in *Pirate Yakuza* and is crucial for progressing through the main storyline. You'll encounter this mission in Chapter 2, where your crew member Jason provides a new waypoint to meet an old friend. During this quest, Goro and his crew will confront the Devil Flag pirates, who have killed Jason's friend and stolen the precious Pharoh Stone.

Following this encounter, you'll meet Misaki, the now-orphaned daughter of Jason's friend, who joins the Goro Pirates in pursuit of revenge. This sets the stage for a side story that leads you to the islands east of Madlantis. Here, you'll face a formidable fleet of Devil Flag pirates. Concentrate your attacks on the boss ship to advance to the next stage of the battle on board. After defeating the Devil Flags, you'll receive the Dark God’s Violin. You can then test this new finishing move in a 100-enemy brawl on the island.

Subsequent to the island battle, a cutscene introduces you to the fleet's captains: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus. They challenge the Goro Pirates, initiating a side quest. While defeating the Devil Flags isn't necessary for the main story, it's essential for collecting all Dark Instruments.

How to Obtain the Dark God’s Ocarina in Pirate Yakuza

The Ocarina Dark Instrument in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in HawaiiAfter the initial boss ship defeat and the 100-enemy brawl, you'll notice special Devil Flag markers across various waters in *Pirate Yakuza*. Defeating these ships earns you Devil Flags, and you'll need 70 of them to unlock the next Dark Instrument. Engage any Devil Flags you encounter or on occupied treasure islands to quickly amass these flags.

With 70 flags, Atali Island becomes available on your map. Prepare a strong landing party as you'll face multiple waves of attackers. Upon reaching the treasure chest, you must defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim the Dark God’s Ocarina.

How to Obtain the Dark God’s Guitar in Pirate Yakuza

The Guitar Dark Instrument in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in HawaiiFollowing the defeat of Captain Yakuza, new objectives and cutscenes lead you to an island where the Pharoh Stone is supposedly hidden. However, this turns out to be a ruse, leading to another 100-enemy fight where you can test the Dark God’s Ocarina.

Learning that Zeus is heading to Flame Island, you need a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags to progress. Sail to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse, triggering a cutscene and unlocking four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, treasure islands don't allow the use of health items during battles, but some offer rest points. Ensure Goro and his landing crew are well-upgraded.

After conquering these islands, another fleet battle awaits, where focusing on the boss ship is key. After defeating the first mate onboard, you can land on Flame Island with Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima as your best crew members. Navigate through smaller battles to face Captain Ronin. Utilize the Dark Instruments you've earned to defeat Ronin and his crew, securing the Dark God of the Earth’s Guitar.

How to Obtain the Dark God’s Saxophone in Pirate Yakuza

The Saxophone Dark Instrument in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in HawaiiThe Dark God’s Saxophone is the final Dark Instrument, requiring a Pirate Rank Four and at least 220 Devil Flags. Achieve this rank by completing main story missions, recruiting crew members, and engaging in mini-games and side quests.

Sail to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to trigger a cutscene and engage the Devil Flag Fleet blocking Frost Island. Conquer four additional islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) to gather more Devil Flags. Defeat Captain Shinobi's First Fleet before landing on Frost Island.

Navigate through battles on the island, leading to a cave and a recovery area. The final boss fight against Captain Shinobi and his men awaits beyond this area. After defeating Shinobi, a cutscene plays where Zeus takes Misaki hostage, concluding the Frost Island level with Goro obtaining the Dark God’s Saxophone.

One last boss fight against Zeus remains to rescue Misaki. This challenging two-stage battle requires a nearly fully upgraded Goromaru. Although not necessary for collecting the Dark Instruments, it provides a fitting conclusion to the Devil Flag saga.

And that is how you obtain all Dark Instruments in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.

*Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
