Long-awaited by Cyberpunk 2077 fans, the Fortnite crossover finally arrived, exciting many. However, the absence of the male version of protagonist V disappointed some. Speculation ran rampant, with theories comparing CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. The truth, however, is far simpler.

Cyberpunk 2077 loremaster Patrick Mills made the final call. He explained the decision was based on two factors: the bundle's two-character limit, with Johnny Silverhand being a mandatory inclusion, and a personal preference for the female V. With Johnny already male, the female V provided a logical and aesthetically pleasing balance.

Thus, no grand conspiracy, just practical considerations. This also marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin, following the earlier addition of John Wick.
