Marvel Rivals' Spring Festival event kicks off this Thursday! Get ready for a free Star-Lord costume and a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. This 3v3 mode challenges teams to score a ball in their opponent's goal.

While the gameplay may evoke comparisons to Rocket League, the mode bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball. This similarity is noteworthy, as Marvel Rivals is currently aiming to establish its own unique identity and differentiate itself from Overwatch. The choice to feature a similar game mode for its major launch event is an interesting strategic decision. However, while Overwatch's Lucioball had an Olympic theme, Marvel Rivals' version boasts a distinct Chinese New Year aesthetic.
