EA Shuts Down "The Simpsons: Tapped Out" Mobile Game

EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is closing its doors. After a twelve-year run, the city-building game will be unavailable for download starting October 31st, 2024, with servers finally shutting down on January 24th, 2025. In-app purchases are already disabled.

The End of an Era

EA's farewell message expressed gratitude to players for their decade-plus of involvement in rebuilding Springfield. This collaboration with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company allowed for a unique and enduring player experience.

One Last Chance?

If you've yet to experience the game, now's your last chance! The Simpsons: Tapped Out lets you take the reins of Springfield's reconstruction after Homer's infamous nuclear mishap. You'll guide the Simpsons family and a host of Springfield residents, building and expanding the town, even unlocking Springfield Heights and managing the Kwik-E-Mart.

The freemium game frequently featured updates based on the TV show and seasonal events. While the game itself is free, in-game "donuts" are the primary currency driving progress.

Download The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the Google Play Store before it's gone. Don't miss our article on eBaseball: MLB Pro Spirit, another mobile game launching this fall!
