Dive into the strategic world of Online Gomoku, also known as Gobang or Five in a Row, where you can challenge players from around the globe in real-time. This classic abstract strategy board game, traditionally played with Go pieces on a Go board, offers a thrilling experience. Unlike Go, in Gomoku, once a stone is placed on an intersection, it stays there for the entire game, making it perfect for paper and pencil play as well. Known under various names across different countries, Gomoku captivates players with its simplicity and depth.

In Dr. Gomoku, we adhere to the official Renju rules. The game begins with the black player placing the first stone, followed by alternating turns with the white player. The objective is straightforward yet challenging: be the first to create an unbroken line of five stones in any direction—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
