Gameplay:
Using a standard deck (no jokers), the game unfolds with simple yet strategic gameplay. Players race to deplete their hands, aiming to avoid being the last one with cards remaining – the infamous "Donkey." The Donkey loses; everyone else wins!
The game begins with the player holding the Ace of Spades. Play proceeds clockwise, following suit whenever possible. Players must play a card of the lead suit if they have one, but can play any card of that suit regardless of value.
When all players have played a card of the same suit, the round ends, and those cards are discarded. The player with the highest card of that suit leads the next round.
If a player can't follow suit, they play any other card. Play immediately stops, and the player who played the highest card of the lead suit picks up all played cards and adds them to their hand, becoming the next leader.
This continues until only one player has cards left – the Donkey!
