Unlike other chess AI mobile games, ChessCraft lets you design truly wacky boards and pieces and then instantly play against a competent AI opponent.

Design your own pieces using combinations of bishop and rook movements, plus a 7x7 grid of knight-like jumps. Pieces can even influence nearby pieces. Create custom boards up to 16x16, enabling or disabling tiles at will. Set promotion rules for any piece, anywhere on the board. Add special tile rules like teleporters and sanctuaries. The sophisticated AI, leveraging computer science and graph theory, adapts to your custom creations and provides a challenging match.

ChessCraft is completely free and ad-free (except for occasional prompts to become a Patron). Patron status removes these interruptions. Educators, students, or those who can't afford Patron status should contact the developer for a special code.
