How to Play Okey Game:
The offline okey game is traditionally played with four players. A cue stick helps players sort their tiles. The game includes tiles in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13, along with two fake okey tiles, making a total of 106 tiles.
At the start, tiles are mixed and automatically distributed to players. The player next to the distributor receives 15 tiles, while others get 14. Players then arrange their tiles into groups or pairs based on their cues.
Tiles not distributed are placed in the middle of the table, with one open numbered tile serving as the indicator stone. The tile matching the indicator stone's color and number becomes the Okey Stone, which can substitute for any tile in the game. Finishing with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.
Normal Tile Arrangement in Okey Game:
- Players aim to form at least three pairs, which can be:
- Sequential: Tiles of the same color placed in a series.
- Matching: Tiles of the same number but different colors placed together.
Pair Formation in Okey Game:
Players aim to arrange all tiles into pairs. Completing seven pairs allows the player to end the game by discarding the last tile to the middle of the table.
Indicator Rule in Okey Game:
At the start of a new game, the next player reveals the indicator tile. If it's an Okey-colored tile, points are deducted accordingly; otherwise, 2 points are deducted.
End of Okey Game:
- A normal finish (non-Okey tile) results in a deduction of 2 or 4 points, depending on the color.
- Finishing with seven pairs deducts 4 points from opponents.
- Completing all tiles in the same color, in order from 1 to 13, results in a color finish, reducing opponents' points to zero and ending the game.
- If all tiles are the same color but not in order, 8 points are deducted from other players.
