World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," expands beyond its namesake zone, introducing several new subzones. This major update centers around Undermine, the sprawling Goblin capital city, but adds significant new areas for players to explore.
Key additions include:
-
Undermine: The subterranean Goblin capital, featuring towering buildings, narrow streets, and inventive contraptions. A central hub, Slam Central Station, will serve as the primary entry point, with multiple access points hinted at across Azeroth.
-
Gutterville: Located in the southeastern Ringing Deeps, this subzone likely contains an entrance to Undermine. Its maroon coloration suggests corruption by Black Blood, and it houses Excavation Site 9, one of two new Delves in Patch 11.1.
-
Kaja’Coast: A new Goblin encampment situated on Zuldazar's southwestern coast, near Bilgewater Bonanza. This area is strongly suspected to provide another access point to Undermine, potentially linked to the tram shown in the initial Patch 11.1 announcement.
These new locations, discovered via datamining, significantly broaden the scope of Patch 11.1. While the exact connections between these areas and Undermine remain to be seen, the evidence points to a network of access points throughout Azeroth. The presence of five terminals at Slam Central Station suggests even more locations could be revealed.
While a firm release date is pending (currently estimated for mid-to-late February), the Public Test Realm (PTR) launch is expected in early January, offering players a sneak peek at this expansive content.
