World of Warcraft Has Good News For Players Who Missed an Important 20th Anniversary Event Achievement

World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates

World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and unlock the path to the Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.

Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal, specifically to the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the Foundation Hall. Alyx, now titled "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," retains their clue-filled board, guiding players to locate 11 missing Celebration Crates scattered throughout the world.

Obtaining the Detective Title:

  1. Locate Alyx: Travel to Dornogal and find Alyx near the Delver's Headquarters.
  2. Gather Clues: Examine Alyx's board for clues indicating the locations of the missing Celebration Crates. Note that players must be at least level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests, but level 68 is required to access Dornogal.
  3. Collect the Crates: Find all 11 Celebration Crates using the clues provided.
  4. Return to Alyx: Return the crates to Alyx in Dornogal. Submitting six crates awards the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while submitting all 11 grants "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and, most importantly, the Detective title. The Detective title is the key to initiating the questline leading to the Incognitro mount.

Important Note: While the Detective title and Incognitro mount remain attainable, other Guest Relations quests and related achievements from the anniversary event (such as "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats") are no longer accessible. Their associated rewards, including the Thinking Cap transmog, are currently unobtainable.

This strategic move by Blizzard ensures that players won't be permanently locked out of acquiring this rare mount, addressing concerns that the Detective title would become inaccessible after the event's conclusion.
