Uno! Mobile and other titles receive Beyond Color update

Author : Victoria Feb 22,2025

Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the "Beyond Colors" update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.

Instead of relying solely on color, the new decks utilize distinct shapes (squares, triangles, circles, and stars) to represent the traditional card colors. This allows players with colorblindness to easily differentiate between cards.

The update is designed to foster inclusivity and broaden the player base. Enabling the Beyond Colors deck is simple: access in-game account settings via your avatar and select the Beyond Colors deck under card theme options.

This initiative addresses the needs of approximately 300 million colorblind individuals globally. Mattel163 collaborated with colorblind gamers to ensure the shape-based system is intuitive and consistent across all three games. The company aims for 80% of its game portfolio to be colorblind-accessible by 2025.

Uno! Mobile brings the classic card-matching game to mobile; Phase 10: World Tour focuses on completing phases quickly; and Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique solitaire-style experience. All three games are available on the App Store and Google Play. For more information on Mattel163 and the Beyond Colors update, visit their official website or Facebook page.
