Unlock the Secrets: Divinity: Original Sin 2's Ship Navigation Revealed

Author : Chloe Feb 12,2025

This guide details how to get the Lady Vengeance sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves a series of puzzles and interactions.

Quick Links

After removing your Source collar, your goal is to set sail. This isn't done via the helm; you must find an unconventional method. Explore the ship, speak with NPCs, and gather clues. The key is accessing Magister Dallis' cabin and the Ancient Empire Songbook within.

Investigate Dead Bodies

Examine the bodies of the magisters and ghouls on deck. A Sodden Diary on a corpse provides a password for a stateroom door. Alternatively, a skill check on the northern stateroom door reveals the password. You'll also need a Strange Gem, found later. A magic mirror nearby allows respeccing characters.

Find the Portside Stateroom Door

Using the password and the Strange Gem (obtained from Bishop Alexander's regalia after interacting with him), unlock the southern stateroom door. The password is "Fortitude." Inside is Magister Dallis' cabin, containing a hidden hatch with ghouls and a Teleportation Prism.

Find the Ancient Empire Songbook

In Dallis' cabin, speak with Tarquin and Dallis. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as interaction becomes impossible once sailing.

Getting the Ship Moving

Return to the deck and speak to Malady. She'll ask you to sing the song. Find the dragon figurine to the west and sing the song. The Lady Vengeance will start moving. Be prepared for an immediate ambush from powerful magisters. Ensure your party is adequately prepared for a challenging battle.
