These tips would have saved us considerable frustration early on.
Avoid Unprovoked PvP
Screenshot by The EscapistWhile Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP initially caused concern, it's less brutal than anticipated. Death doesn't result in item loss, regardless of the killer. However, attacking players incurs a bounty. Higher bounties mean greater item loss upon your death. Therefore, avoid attacking unless strategically advantageous or backed by a group.
Craft Bags Immediately
Screenshot by The EscapistInventory and bank space are severely limited. Fortunately, crafting bags expands capacity. The initial Cotton Bag provides 10 extra slots. Obtain Cotton north of Wayshire and Flax south (be cautious of southern mobs). Craft these bags as soon as possible.
Pet Deaths are Temporary
Screenshot by The EscapistContrary to initial assumptions, pet death isn't permanent. A five-minute cooldown prevents summoning after a pet reaches zero health. Check the cooldown using the 'T' key. After the cooldown, resummon your pet using 'T'. Bonus: Quickly heal pets by storing and retrieving them at the Stable Master (one free slot available).
Accept All Quests
Screenshot by The EscapistRune Slayer features numerous non-repeatable, forgettable quests, typically "kill X" tasks. Simplify this by accepting every available quest, including those from the job board. Often, multiple quests can be completed simultaneously.
Craft Everything at Least Once

Join a Guild
While Rune Slayer is solo-friendly, tougher enemies require group effort. Guilds are the easiest way to find groups, especially for challenging high-health bosses. Utilize general chat or the official Rune Slayer Discord to find a guild.
