Tencent's New Martial Arts Game: "The Hidden Ones" to Release in 2025

Author : Ryan Jan 11,2025

Morefun Studios' highly anticipated action game, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new name and release date! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this 3D brawler promises intense martial arts combat, parkour, and more, launching in 2025. A pre-alpha test is scheduled for January.

The game, set in modern China, follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's fighting techniques are highly sought after – and those seeking them aren't taking "no" for an answer.

The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive visuals and features Wang Ye, a secondary protagonist. Expect exhilarating parkour sequences, dynamic 3D combat, energy projectile exchanges, and intense brawling action.

A New Identity

Finding information on The Hidden Ones has been challenging, given the franchise's multiple names. However, initial impressions suggest a high-quality title from Morefun Studios. The game's grittier, darker aesthetic stands out, offering a more grounded feel than many other 3D ARPGs.

The game's success hinges on attracting players unfamiliar with the source material. Its appeal will ultimately determine whether it thrives or falters.
