Nightdive Studios, the masterminds behind this update, have announced that this modernized version of the iconic 1999 sci-fi horror action role-playing game will be available on a range of platforms. Here's the official synopsis for **System Shock 2**: Set 42 years after the events of the original System Shock, the notorious SHODAN and her legion of ruthless mutants have overtaken the starship Von Braun. Players take on the role of a soldier awakened from cryo-sleep with cybernetic enhancements integrated into his body. As he navigates the eerie corridors of the derelict starship, he must refine his upgradable skills, wield formidable weapons, and harness paranormal psionic abilities to combat SHODAN's monstrous creations and withstand her megalomaniacal ambitions.
