Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Returns After Extended Maintenance!

Remember SAOVS, Bandai Namco's action RPG launched in November 2022? After an unexpectedly long "never-ending maintenance" period that began in September 2023, it's finally back! While initially slated to resume this summer (2024), the relaunch took longer than anticipated due to significant core functionality issues requiring extensive developer attention.

What's New in the Re-released SAOVS?

The relaunch features Battle Royal Season 1, a four-player arena battle where the player with the most knockouts wins. Compete in League Matches to earn titles and accessories. This season runs until December 30th.

Returning players who endured the maintenance period receive a welcome gift: 5 Sword Spark Mito Pickup Scout Tickets.

A "Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns" event offers up to 100 free Scouts, login bonuses, and mission rewards, lasting until January 30th, 2025.

Players also have a chance to obtain the SSR Sword Spark Mito (Light-elemental fighter), and new SSR Ability Cards, "Destroyer of Destiny" and "Seasoned Comrades," available until January 6th, 2025.
