Can You Get the Staff of Ice from the Mystery Box?
While the Staff of Ice can be found in The Tomb's Mystery Box, relying on this method is purely chance-based. The Ray Gun is also a possibility, making the odds unfavorable. Using the "Wunderbar!" GobbleGum increases your chances, but doesn't guarantee success. For a guaranteed acquisition, crafting is the recommended approach.
Crafting the Staff of Ice: A Step-by-Step Guide
The Staff of Ice requires three components: the Monocle, the Head Piece, and the Staff itself.
1. Obtaining the Monocle:
Eliminate the first Shock Mimic encountered in a match. The Monocle will drop upon its defeat.
2. Obtaining the Head Piece:
- Locate the cave painting in the Neolithic Catacombs.
- Activate the wall by lighting the nearby Dark Aether lantern (the purple fire will shift between lanterns; aim for the one closest to the mural).
- Shoot the Roman numerals on the illuminated wall in ascending order (I-X). Incorrect shots won't reset progress.
- Survive the ensuing lockdown.
- Collect the Head Piece from the wall.
3. Obtaining the Staff Piece:
- Navigate to the Tombs room.
- Use the lanterns to illuminate the Bull Mural (facing left).
- Shoot the Roman numerals (I-VIII) in ascending order.
- Survive the lockdown.
- Retrieve the Staff Piece.
4. Assembling the Staff of Ice:
Once all three parts are acquired, proceed to the Dark Aether Nexus. Place the components on the central structure. Defend the Staff during assembly from a wave of enemies. Once complete, the Staff of Ice is yours.
