Mastering Spider-Man's Spider-Tracer in Marvel Rivals for Victory
Whether you're a seasoned Spider-Man player or tackling Marvel Rivals challenges, understanding the Spider-Tracer mechanic is crucial for success. This guide explains what a Spider-Tracer is and how to effectively utilize it in combat.
What is a Spider-Tracer?
While Marvel Rivals doesn't explicitly explain Spider-Tracers, they're essentially markers left by Spider-Man after using his Web-Cluster ability (LT on console, Right Click on PC). Although the Web-Cluster itself inflicts minimal damage, the Spider-Tracer it leaves behind is a game-changer, especially for Peter Parker mains.
Utilizing the Spider-Tracer
The Web-Cluster has a five-shot capacity, allowing for five simultaneous Spider-Tracers. Hitting an opponent with Web-Cluster applies a Tracer, boosting your subsequent attacks. Here's how Spider-Man's moves are enhanced:
- Spider-Power (R2/Left Click): Inflicts increased damage on Tracer-marked opponents.
- Get Over Here! (R1/E): Instead of pulling the enemy to you, you're pulled towards the Tracer-marked opponent. This is useful for repositioning, particularly against enemies flanking your rear, but requires awareness of surrounding threats.
- Amazing Combo (Square/X/F): Deals amplified damage to enemies with a Spider-Tracer.
Optimal Spider-Tracer Combos
The key is strategic follow-up after landing a Spider-Tracer. The Amazing Combo, dealing a potent 110 damage with a Tracer, followed by a base Spider-Power, is a devastating combination.
While Get Over Here! with a Spider-Tracer reverses the pull, allowing for quick approaches, it's crucial to assess the enemy's positioning before using it. Spider-Man's agility helps mitigate risks, making it a viable tactic.
