With the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 just around the corner, Sega has announced a lineup of exciting updates across the board for several Sonic mobile games. From Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces available on the App Store and Google Play, these updates bring fresh content inspired by the upcoming movie.
Coming in first is an update for Sonic Forces, which releases on December 12th, bringing with it a brand new Metro-city Zone. This addition features three challenging tracks for you to master while racing as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar faces. It ties directly into the film so be sure to complete all the levels before you head to the theatre.
This will be followed by a Sonic Dream Team update on December 18th. It also brings Shadow as a playable character, complete with new abilities. You can hop into the Tails’ Challenges to unlock the character. Shadow’s Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers let you manipulate time, freezing enemies and the environment as you work toward your objectives.
Alongside Shadow’s addition, new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost expand your options for all characters, while exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift, enhance Shadow’s skillset. Besides that, six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks have been added with a reworked tutorial level that will help beginners learn the ropes better.
