EA's Battlefield Studios Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Future of Battlefield
EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering a select group of players early access to the next Battlefield game and a chance to influence its development. This isn't your typical beta; it's an opportunity to provide crucial feedback directly to the developers.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs is a new program designed to gather valuable player feedback. Chosen participants will engage in early, remote playtests of work-in-progress content, providing insights on combat mechanics, map design, balance, and more. Expect a less polished experience than a traditional beta, with more bugs and rough edges.
Initially, a few thousand players in Europe and North America will be selected, with plans for global expansion to tens of thousands. The program will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing:
Unlike previous Battlefield betas, Battlefield Labs focuses on gathering feedback on unfinished game elements. Participants will encounter more bugs and technical issues. Furthermore, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is required, restricting public sharing of information.
How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs and Gain Early Access:
- Visit the official Battlefield Labs webpage.
- Log in or create an EA account and link it to your preferred gaming platform. Be aware of potential queues; you'll have a 15-minute window to access the website once your turn arrives.
- Complete the registration form and provide your email address.
- Keep an eye on your inbox for updates from the Battlefield Labs newsletter, including playtest invitations if selected.
The next Battlefield game is slated for release in EA's fiscal year 2026 (before April 1, 2026). This is your chance to be a part of its creation!
