How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
Embarking on your journey as a Shinigami begins with your character as a Soul Spirit. To transition into a Shinigami, or Soul Reaper, you must accept the initial quest from the NPC named Hurt Shinigami. She's in dire need of assistance, and once you commit to the path of the Shinigami, there's no turning back—unless you later choose to become a Visored. If you're set on becoming a Hollow instead, our separate guide on Hollow progression can guide you through that path.
During the crucial moment of choosing between Shinigami and Hollow, act swiftly. Choosing to become a Hollow involves breaking your chain, whereas opting for Shinigami means your chain will slowly start to break on its own. Every two minutes, a segment of the chain breaks, and if you let it break completely, you'll become a Hollow. In such a case, our resurrection moves lists will be crucial for your Hollow endgame.
Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
Your initial quest as a Shinigami is to purify 6 Lost Souls, aligning with your role to maintain the balance between life and death. After this, you'll pick up the next quest from an NPC near Hurt Shinigami, involving delivering a letter to a Doctor friend near the hospital.
Early quests are perfect for mastering your abilities. Make sure to purchase a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urahara shop. For efficient navigation, consider using the bus stop as a teleport or fast travel option for $200, given the expansive map. Alternatively, you can opt for infinite fast travel from the Robux Shop for 149 Robux.
As you progress, quests are marked with a red crosshair, guiding you through various tasks such as defeating Hollows and Corrupted Shinigamis. These quests are categorized into repeatable, progression, and path-specific quests like Vizard and Airwalk.
Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu
To maximize your Shinigami Reiatsu, strategic allocation of skill points is essential. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers various Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami:
- Caja Negacion: Unleashes a beam of lightning from your finger, which can spread electricity when combined with Electric.
- Shakkaho: Generates a red energy ball that explodes on impact, capable of ragdolling or igniting foes with Ragdoll and Fire enhancements.
- Chain Bind: Summons energy chains to pull enemies towards you.
- Prison of Light: Encircles the enemy with six light rods, immobilizing them.
- Thunder Sear: Launches a slow-moving lightning ball that damages and explodes upon contact with enemies, ideal for crowd control.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
Achieving Shikai requires reaching level 15 and undertaking a Shikai Training quest from Urihiro. Your challenge is to defeat Urahara Kisuke for 1,700 exp, enabling you to harness Shikai powers.
Warning: Beating Kisuke at level 15 can be tough if your hero isn't fully optimized. Consider grinding up to level 25 for better chances.
Using Shikai
Upon unlocking Shikai, a random mighty ability is assigned to your weapon. If unsatisfied with your sword's new power, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for a fee. Shikai activation depends on your Rage Bar, which fills as you deal or take damage. Press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai, which ends when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Your Shikai Mastery Level is determined by the Mastery Points you accumulate by using Shikai Skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce the Rage spent during Shikai usage and offer visual and power upgrades:
- Mastery Level 1: 1-149 Points. Grants Transparent Aura.
- Mastery Level 2: 150-299 Points. Grants a brighter aura with particles.
- Mastery Level 3: 300-499 Points. Grants a Lightning boost.
- Mastery Level 4: 500+ Points. Grants a zone of flying stones around you.
Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era
Once committed to the Shinigami path, the option to play as a Hollow is lost—unless you become a Visored. At level 50, you can start the journey to master the Vizard fighting style by visiting Vizard’s Warehouse. To fully become a Visored, you'll need Hogyoku, obtained by defeating the King of Hueco Mundo with a 1% drop rate. This is just the beginning of unlocking Visored progression.
Hollow Era Visored Mastering
As a Visored, you gain benefits like Mask Control to resist Hollow control and prolonged mask usage time with the Visored node, enhancing your damage output.
Visored Abilities in Hollow Era
- Hollow Mask: Allows control over your inner Hollow, enabling you to wear the mask at will.
- Cero: Charges a beam of Reiatsu for significant damage.
- Final Cero: Pins down and crushes enemies with a powerful Cero.
- Vasto Rage: Transforms you into the mightiest Hollow type for a limited time.
What About Hollow Era Bankai?
Currently, Bankai is not available in Hollow Era. However, given the game's popularity, future updates may introduce this powerful ability. Keep an eye out for announcements.
