Re-rolling your Avowed character? It happens! This guide details how to respec abilities, attributes, and even your companion's stats.
Why Respec?
Choosing the right build at the start can be tricky. If your initial class or attribute choices aren't working out, respeccing lets you adjust your character for a more enjoyable experience. This is particularly useful in Avowed, where experimenting with different playstyles (like transitioning from a pure mage to a spellsword) is encouraged.
Respeccing Abilities
To reset your ability points, open the menu, select "Abilities," and find the "Reset Points" option near the bottom. The cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt) increases as you progress. Confirm your choice to redistribute your points across all skill trees except "Godlike" abilities, which are acquired through gameplay choices.
Respeccing Attributes
If you're happy with your abilities but want to adjust your attributes, or simply want a complete overhaul, open the menu, go to the "Character" section. At the bottom, below the attribute list, you'll find a button to reset your attribute points. The cost (starting at 100 Copper Skeyt) also increases with gameplay.
Respeccing Companions
To respec your companion's abilities, navigate to the "Abilities" section of the menu, then select the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see a button to reset their points for a Copper Skeyt cost. Note: You must respec each companion individually.
Mastering respeccing in Avowed allows for greater character customization and ensures you can adapt your build to overcome any challenge. Avowed is available now.
