Pokémon Go debuts new Grow Together ticket to give new players a boost, for a price

Author : Christian Mar 04,2025

Pokémon Go introduces a new "Grow Together" ticket to accelerate player progression. Priced at $4.99, this limited-time ticket (available July 17th, 10:00 a.m. to September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. local time) offers a significant XP boost.

The ticket provides 5x XP for your first daily PokéStop spin and includes a Premium Timed Research task. This research unlocks premium items and encounters with Pokémon possessing unique evolution criteria. Gifting options are available to Great Friends and higher, with PokéStore purchases netting two bonus eggs.

Is it worthwhile?

The inability to purchase the ticket using PokéCoins and the inherent pay-to-progress aspect will undoubtedly be controversial. However, for dedicated players seeking a convenient leveling shortcut and access to premium content, it might prove appealing. The value proposition ultimately hinges on individual player engagement with Pokémon Go.
