Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: Details and Registration
Get ready, Tarnished! The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign opens for registration on January 10th, 2025. This limited beta will allow players a sneak peek at the upcoming co-op Soulsborne experience, but with a significant caveat: it's exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release and focuses on three-player cooperative gameplay within the Lands Between. This initial network test, scheduled for February 2025, serves as a crucial step in preparing the game for launch.
Registration:
Starting January 10th, interested players can register via the official Elden Ring Nightreign website. While the number of available slots remains undisclosed, securing a spot will require swift action. Successful applicants will receive confirmation emails no later than February 2025.
Platform Limitations:
The exclusion of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC from this beta is noteworthy. This limits the test to less than half the game's planned platforms. Furthermore, FromSoftware has confirmed the absence of cross-platform multiplayer, meaning players will only be able to connect with others on the same console family.
Additional Information:
- Progress made during the network test is not expected to carry over to the final game.
- The possibility of future beta tests remains open.
- The game will support solo play and three-player parties only; two-player co-op is not supported.
- Specific dates for the February test will be announced soon.
How to Register:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website on or after January 10th.
- Register, selecting your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await your confirmation email.
- Prepare for the February 2025 network test.
