Why are White Stellar Amulets So Valuable in Path of Exile 2?
Plain White Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key ingredients in crafting the highly sought-after 
Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an 
Orb of Chance.
Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its substantial attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the 
Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another top-tier Unique item, amplifying attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.
Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets are unsuitable. This scarcity elevates the value of Normal Stellar Amulets significantly above their enhanced counterparts.
Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma
The odds of successfully obtaining Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are incredibly low. Even using a large quantity of amulets (e.g., 100) doesn't guarantee success. While luck could prevail, the probability is slim.
The decision to sell or gamble is entirely personal. Selling a White Stellar Amulet typically earns 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on market fluctuations. Alternatively, you can risk it all for the potential reward of Astramentis. It's a high-stakes gamble, and the choice rests solely with the player.
Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2
To attempt this, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
- Astramentis (the desired outcome)
Fixation of Yix (a less valuable alternative)
Fixation of Yix is statistically more likely than Astramentis if the gamble is successful. Remember, failure results in the amulet's destruction.
