A few months ago, Minecraft turned 15. After giving its players fifteen years of building, mining and surviving, it’s now gearing up for an even more fun future. The devs at Mojang Studios is keeping the momentum going with a whole bunch of new features that we’ll soon see in Minecraft. Here’s A Look At What’s Coming Next!Mojang Studios has plans to drop new features in Minecraft more regularly. Instead of the typical summer update they used to do once a year, they’ll be rolling out multiple smaller updates throughout the year.Minecraft Live is getting a makeover. The single show in October will be replaced with two shows a year now. And the mob vote will no longer be used. So, you’ll be in the loop more often about what’s coming next and what’s being tested. They’re also working on ways to improve multiplayer, making it easier for you and your friends to find each other and team up. And a native version of Minecraft will be dropped for PlayStation 5.There’s some cool stuff brewing behind the scenes as well. An animated series and a Minecraft movie are also in the making. It’s wild to think the game that started out as ‘Cave Game’ back in 2009 has evolved into the Minecraft of today. The Community Has Been A Huge Part Of It!The devs also acknowledge the role the Minecraft community has played (and will continue to do so) in its development of new features. Take the cherry groves from the Trails & Tales Update, for example—those were suggested by a player.Even the new wolf variations, with different skins depending on the biome, started as feedback from the community. It even helped tweak the wolf armour, making it stronger. So, if you’ve ever suggested a feature or left feedback, you’re part of what’s making this game better.Been a while since you played it?
