Microsoft Making Big Changes to Game Pass Quests and Rewards

Author : Max Jan 24,2025

Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users, exclusively for players 18 and older, starting January 7th. This update expands earning opportunities with daily, weekly, and monthly quests, including the return of weekly streaks.

Key changes include:

  • Quests for PC Game Pass: PC Game Pass members (18+) gain access to Quests and the Rewards Hub, previously exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
  • New Quest Types: Daily Play (10 points for 15 minutes of gameplay), Weekly Streaks (points increase with consecutive weekly play, up to a 4x multiplier), Monthly 4-Pack (4 different games, 15 minutes each), and Monthly 8-Pack (8 different games, 15 minutes each, with the 4-Pack counting towards this). A PC Weekly Bonus of 150 points is awarded for playing at least 15 minutes for 5 or more days.
  • Age Restriction: Access to the Rewards Hub and all new quest benefits is restricted to players 18 and older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft store.

This revamped system simplifies point accumulation, offering diverse ways to earn rewards through consistent gameplay and exploration of the Game Pass catalog. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate experiences, justifying the age restriction on the new features.
