Marvel Rivals: A Strategist's Guide to Support Characters

Seven support units, primarily focused on healing and buffing, are currently available. While Jeff is popular, he's not the top contender. Here's the breakdown:

Mantis excels at healing and buffing allies. Her orb-based abilities offer both healing and damage boosts, regenerating automatically or instantly recoverable via headshots. While fragile, her effectiveness is amplified by skillful headshot accuracy, making her accessible to both beginners and experts.

Luna Snow, another S-tier pick, combines healing and offensive capabilities. Her Ice Art enhances both healing and damage output, while her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, provides AoE healing or damage, depending on positioning. Her ease of use and focus on strategic positioning make her ideal for new players. However, her damage potential remains secondary to her support role.

A Tier

Adam Warlock and Cloack & Dagger

Adam Warlock's standout ability is his multi-teammate revive. His Ultimate, the Quantum Zone, brings back fallen allies with temporary invincibility, even allowing multiple revives of the same character. Combined with his healing and damage-sharing Soul Bond, he offers exceptional survivability.

Cloak & Dagger provides a unique blend of support and damage. Cloak's attacks offer both healing and damage, with self-sustaining healing capabilities. Dagger focuses on damage and enemy debuffs (Vulnerability), while Dark Teleportation enhances ally movement and provides invisibility.

B Tier

Rocket Raccoon, Jeff, and Loki in Marvel Rivals.

Jeff the Land Shark, despite popularity, lacks the robust healing of higher-tier characters, struggling in extended battles. His simpler kit pales in comparison to Mantis and Warlock. He remains a viable option for beginners seeking a straightforward support role.

Loki's effectiveness hinges on player skill. His healing and decoy summoning require strategic illusion placement. His unique Ultimate allows shapeshifting into any hero for 15 seconds, offering versatility but demanding mastery.

Rocket Raccoon prioritizes utility and damage over pure healing. His Respawn Machine offers revives, but his kit leans towards hybrid DPS. His performance is highly dependent on player skill, and his small size makes him a vulnerable target.

Ultimately, the best support character depends on personal preference and playstyle. This guide provides a framework for informed decision-making, but enjoyment should be the ultimate deciding factor.

Marvel Rivals is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
