Master the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle! This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to solve this Vatican-based enigma and uncover the secrets of the giants.
Solving the Fountain of Confession Puzzle
Following the Sacred Wounds puzzle, Indy uses his scroll to locate the Fountain of Confession. Remember to photograph all inscriptions and artwork for Adventure Points!
-
The Fountain Key: Begin by accessing the chest near the fountain's construction area. Inside, you'll find the key to the adjacent storage room.
-
The Dragon Statues: Use your whip to rappel to the rooftop, then swing to the second dragon statue. Grab its claw to activate a lever, allowing you to rotate the statue. Align it to face the opposite dragon. Repeat this process for the other statue, but note its claw is missing.
-
Retrieving the Claw: The missing claw is on the scaffolding below. Rappelling down triggers a cutscene with Gina Lombardi. After the cutscene, retrieve the claw.
-
Reattaching the Claw: Return to the statue, insert the claw, and rotate the statue to face its counterpart. This rotates the central fountain statue, revealing a blocked gate.
-
The First Wall Puzzle (Baptism): A lever appears near the fountain. Indy and Gina activate it, revealing the first puzzle. Position the larger male statue under the water bucket, activate the water mechanism, and push the statue towards the smaller one, completing the baptism. This moves the left-side gate statue.
-
The Second Wall Puzzle (Angel): Reactivate the lever to reveal the second puzzle. Manipulate the stone path layers using the handles on the wall with your whip to guide the angel figure to the right side. This moves the right-side gate statue.
-
Final Step: Push the remaining central statue through the gate to activate a spiral staircase and progress to the next part of the game.
