Jurassic World Dominion incorporates a scene from Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel, a detail confirmed by screenwriter David Koepp. In an interview with Variety, Koepp explained that, lacking a source novel for Dominion, he revisited Crichton's work for inspiration. This led to the inclusion of a previously unused sequence.
Koepp stated that this particular scene had been considered for the 1993 film adaptation but ultimately omitted due to time constraints. He simply remarked, "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for. We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"
While Koepp remains tight-lipped about the specific scene, fan speculation is rife. Several scenes from the novel are considered strong contenders.
