Since its September 2024 launch, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has consistently received post-launch updates, especially for its online multiplayer. Want to be among the first to experience upcoming content? Here's how to access the public test server.
How to Join the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Public Test Server

It's important to note: the public test server is currently only available on PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players won't find it. Accessing the server on PC is straightforward via Steam.
Simply locate Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in your Steam library. The public test server will appear as a separate entry below the main game, provided you've purchased the game on Steam. It's a standalone download with its own files, separate from the main game.
What's Included in the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Public Test Server?

The public test server features new PvE and PvP content, including new and modified weapons and customization options. The PvE mode boasts a brand-new map, relaxed class restrictions on certain weapons, and altered online gameplay features. Remember, this content is a work in progress and subject to change before the official release.
The server also includes improved matchmaking for both PvE and PvP, focusing on balanced teams. PvE matchmaking aims to prevent players from selecting the same class on the same team, and introduces a prestige leveling system. PvP offers expanded lobby customization options.
Finally, please note: mods from the main game won't work on the test server. While you can create and customize content using available assets, it won't save to your main game. There's currently no confirmation on whether progression or content from the test server will transfer to the main game.
