Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president, Ted Price, recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was made but ultimately rejected. While the concept was deemed "wonderful," the timing and market opportunity weren't favorable.

PlayPrice expressed the team's passion for continuing the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' unique alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, was developed by Insomniac for the PlayStation 3. Set in a 1951 alternate reality where aliens invade the UK, the games paved the way for Insomniac's later successes with franchises like Marvel's Spider-Man and the newer Ratchet & Clank titles.

Price's retirement announcement earlier this year marked the end of his 30-year tenure at Insomniac. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as the studio's new Co-Studio Heads.

Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next project.
