In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, the action-packed gameplay is complemented by extensive weapon and outfit customization, allowing players to tailor their gear for specific combat scenarios. Whether you're sneaking past machines or engaging in intense melee or ranged combat, the right outfit can significantly enhance your gameplay experience. However, there are moments when combining the benefits of multiple outfits would be ideal. Fortunately, this is possible, though with certain restrictions. Let's dive into how you can achieve this.
Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required
To take advantage of the dual outfit effects, you must play the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered edition. A recent update introduced the transmog feature, enabling players to maintain the stats and effects of one outfit while adopting the appearance of another. This means you no longer have to compromise on style for the sake of performance.
Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method
To utilize the effects of two outfits, there are specific requirements to be aware of. The method doesn't work with every outfit; while you can choose any outfit for one slot, the second must be one of these three:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (only available in New Game Plus)
These outfits become accessible in the Frozen Wilds DLC area, which you can enter without completing the main game.
How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
Banuk Werak Runner
Start by entering the expansion area after defeating the new machine. If you find this challenging, consider lowering the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once inside, find a Bluegleam Merchant, identified by a blue Merchant icon, and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.
Resources | Normal Cost | Ultra Hard Cost |
---|---|---|
Metal Shards | 1000 | 5000 |
Desert Glass | 10 | 20 |
Slagshine Glass | 10 | 20 |
Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept
To obtain the Banuk Werak Chieftain, which offers superior benefits, you must complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear for this challenging mission, or lower the difficulty to Story mode for easier completion. The Adept version is attainable in New Game Plus using the same method.
Once you've acquired the second outfit, you're ready to proceed; further exploration of the Frozen Wilds is optional.
What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits
Start by equipping the outfit with the desired stats. Remember, you can enhance these stats with Weaves. Then, use the transmog feature to overlay the appearance of one of the Banuk Werak outfits. Although these outfits don't add to the stats, they provide an automatic healing perk after sustaining damage for a period.
This technique lets you retain your chosen outfit's stats while benefiting from the auto-healing feature of the Banuk Werak outfits. If you're using the Shield Weaver outfit, you'll be nearly invincible, as you rarely take damage, and when you do, the Banuk Werak outfits' healing perk quickly activates.
The healing perk of the Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits activates more rapidly than the Banuk Werak Runner's, making them preferable choices if available.
